moreiya is a multidisciplinary artist whose work intersects writing, photography, moving image, sound and installation. Her archival practice explores the politics of visual and print archives and the restitution of memory, with a particular focus on African Lusophone histories and diasporic perspectives. Through research-led artistic projects, moreiya examines how archives can both obscure and surface history, self-representation, embodied memory and the existential transformations of decoloniality in our perception of the being.

moreiya is ⅓ of the trio rest symbol, ½ of the publisher Índices Incompletos and has exhibited installations, short films, photographic essays, performances and launched publications in the cities of Maputo, London, Florence, Berlin, Glasgow, Amsterdam and Lisbon.
