Mirembe is a curator and writer whose work explores ideas of blackness as a shared ground for intimacy, theory, play, and method. As a thinker, Mirembe is interested in a critical and generative engagement of work by Black artists. Mirembe is currently undertaking a curatorial research residency with the Centre for Humanities Research at the University of the Western Cape, and is also a researcher for the ARAK Collection, one of the largest contemporary African art collections.
